Raising a Shop-a-holic

Posted in Uncategorized at 3:06 pm by chasingtoddlermom

I’m sitting at my desk, trying to get a little work done before Little Ro’ gets up, and I hear this over the monitor: “Target, Target, Target, Target, Target….candy, candy, candy….”  Good thing we’re going to Target after the gym this morning!  His wish is granted!

  1. LOL! The toot’s favorite place to go is also Target. I can often use it as a bribe for good behavior. The only question is… why Target? Why not Costco or anyplace else we go? What is Target doing to lure toddlers like nobody’s business?

Good point! Maybe it’s some kind of high-pitched subliminal messaging tactic that only toddlers can hear (like the high cell phone rings teens use in class)…although LR loves Costco too for all of the free samples and the huge cart, I think. And he knows it’s his source for fruit snacks.

That’s at least higher class than my sister’s kids who don’t realize that there are other stores to shop at besides Costco!

That’s a riot. I have to admit that I’m a little concerned about LR’s response to Banana Republic…he starts to freak out as we approach the doors. LeMare, maybe you should lobby for setting up TVs with cartoons in BR stores so moms like me can shop in peace 🙂

I’ll see what I can do about BR kiddycare!
