Domestic Diva

I have to admit that I’m giving myself a huge pat on the back today! I just finished sewing–yes, you read that right–Little Ro’s Halloween costume. He will be dressed as the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz. I fell totally in love with the characters after seeing Wicked in London last December. It’s a MUST see. Anyway, his costume pattern appears on this page. It has been ages since I have sewed just about anything, let alone starting something from scratch. I got a new sewing machine for Christmas last year and have been looking for an excuse. I clearly need more practice, but I have to admit that it was totally addicting and I really enjoyed myself. I’ll try it on him and post pics soon. I’m afraid he won’t wear the hat and hood, which are darling, but maybe just long enough for a picture!

Thanks! I have to admit that I’m feeling a little heroic. My DH (and I) honestly thought I wouldn’t pull it off.

No way! Can’t wait to see it. I saw that pattern while I was out shopping for The Pirate Costume — if my son hadn’t had his heart set on the pirate thing, I definitely would have done this one!

I hope you’re going to enter it in the IRF Halloween Costume Contest! I can’t wait to see the finished product!
